Proofreading prices

For manuscript proofreading or copy-editing, I charge a fee based on the word count and the amount of editing required. As every project is unique, my charges are bespoke. Feel free to send me a chapter or a few pages of your manuscript so that I can provide a free sample edit. I will then get back to you with my quote and estimated turnaround. I normally ask for half payment as a deposit when I begin.

Student and academic proofreading

I charge a flat rate for student proofreading. Read more about my student and academic services.

Minimum charge - documents under 1000 words will be charged at my flat rate of £12.

For very long academic papers, such as a PhD thesis, please contact me for a quote.

I accept the following payment methods:

• Bank transfer (bank details as stated in my invoice
• Paypal (plus transaction fee of 3.4%)
• Google Pay (plus transaction fee as per your provider)
• Cheque
